I understand that this is how, in plain english, I would like to wire my mini sculpture:

I would like to control 5 different distances from the sculpture. A)When you’re far away and its off. B) when youre about 2 arms lengths away from the sculpture. C) when you’re arms length away D) half an arms length -like 1 1/2 feet? E) Anything 10 inches or closer to the sculpture

These are my ideal distances, A,B,C,D, &E.

At each one, I would like the following to happen:

A- nothing!! Don’t know if this even needs to be written as a code. Everything off.

B- light to come on. Nothing more, nothing less.

C- light to blink, about half a second blink on, half a second blink off, repeat. Non threatening looking blink.

D- light to blink 2x as fast.  Also, now addition of sound. One note, not too loud, just being annoying and monotone.

E-light to blink erratically and very fast. 2-3x faster than D.  The monotone note to be 2-3x louder if possible?  If this is not possible, I guess I’ll remove sound from D and leave it soley for E.

I think this alone will be hard to code for me and I’m trying to figure it out. In terms of how I build this, I need photocell and the potentiometer I believe.  I also need alligator clips for sure. The mini cardboard model I started to cut is definitely not going to work because it isnt large enough so I have to make another.
